Carl Fogarty, also known as "Foggy," is a British former motorcycle racer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest racers in the history of the sport. Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, on July 1, 1965, Fogarty began racing in his teens and quickly showed an aptitude for the sport.
Fogarty's professional career began in the late 1980s, when he competed in the British Superbike Championship. He won his first championship in 1992, riding a Ducati 888, and went on to win the championship again in 1994, 1995, and 1998. He was known for his aggressive riding style, and his ability to push himself and his bike to the limit.
